Best Babymoon Locations in Arkansas (Updated 2023!)

Updated: Feb 6, 2023

Arkansas mommies-to-be: are you planning a babymoon and need something local/last minute? Never fear, Arkansas has plenty of relaxing options for a great get away before baby!

This post is consistently one of my most popular so I thought it was high time for an update! Let’s face it: things have changed since 2018. Some of these ideas haven’t survived the times but that just means I have fresh new ones for y’all!

Central Arkansas/Metro:

Just renovated and a really fresh concept - the amenities of a bnb but the privacy of an airbnb! I think I dig it!

501 Main Street North Little Rock, AR 72114

Phone/Text: 501.442.8847

(We’re really good at texting!) <--- My phone anxiety self adores this!

The Empress of Little Rock 2120 Louisiana St. Little Rock, Arkansas 72206 501.374.7966hostess@theempress.com Rosemont Inn & Cottages - 515 West 15th Street, Little Rock, AR 72202 501.766.0355 - RosemontBB@aol.com An Enchanting Evening Cabin 1.501.330.2182

This cabin is often booked due to it being a wedding venue as well. But if you can get away during the week it looks like an incredible spot to get away very close to Little Rock. It is gorgeous and even comes with chocolate fondue for two!

Hot Springs:

Living in Little Rock I feel so lucky to have Hot Springs only an hour away. And with an on call job (and kiddos staying with Gogo) sometimes it’s as far as we are able to travel. Our days of international travel freedom are if not over, at least on an indefinite pause 🙃 But we don’t have to feel too deprived! Hot springs truly is charming and we’ve visited for a couple of anniversary trips and a baby-moon ourselves. Most recently my husband planned a surprise 10th anniversary get away and I cannot tell you what a god job he did. That brings me to my first new recommendation. We got to be the first guests at a new Airb&b in the old Hot Springs High School building and it was so incredibly charming! Built in 1914 and in use as a school until 1992 the Late Gothic Revival building had its share of famous students - Bill Clinton among them! You can even find a chalkboard with his signature, which I was super geeked out about. Since it’s tenure as a school was over it has served as an apartment building and the rooms are every bit as quirky as you might expect in such an old building. The original hex tile hallways don’t always line up with the new apartment walls - nor do the chalkboards!

The building is a semi recent acquisition by an investor who has big plans for revitalizing the property: during our trip the architect was there working on plans for the auditorium where events will be held! A lot of the apartments were also under construction and the property manager was kind enough to include them on a tour of the building.

We stayed in a three bedroom apartment that would have been the old library. It had incredibly high ceilings and a gorgeous view. As the first guests it’s still a work in progress but we didn’t mind - I had a blast just dreaming up how they might eventually lean into the history of the space in their decor. We stayed for two nights and were able to walk to every meal and activity my husband had planned downtown - not to mention the fantastic farmers market on Saturday morning where I had some fantastic coffee, cinnamon rolls and bought some really fun jewelry!

I look forward to keeping up with their progress and visiting again and again 😍

Speaking of activities - just as with the lodging, my husband did an amazing job surprising me with studio time at Hammer & Stain where we made the cutest door hanger!

I think it would be such a fun thing to do on a baby moon - particularly if you designed a door hanger/wall art for the nursery together! For example:

The owner was incredibly sweet and as we painted we chatted about her brand new twin grandsons. It was truly a wonderful experience!

YOU GUYS. This place has HOBBIT CAVES. You could have your babymoon in a romantic Shire-esq abode. I mean, I don't want to play favorites but that is right up my geeky alley!

This is by no means an exhaustive list - there are plenty of fantastic B&B's in the state that serve up pampering and relaxation. Whatever you decide, I hope you have a great time and soak up every peaceful minute. Happy babymooning!
